Near-Earth Asteroid 2007 TU-24
1.30.2008  10:00

The asteroid 2007 TU-24 recently passed by us at only 1.4 times the Moon's distance from Earth. Its closest approach was at about midnight the night of January 28th, 2008 (Pacific time). Unfortunately for me, the clouds from the recent barrage of rainstorms were still forecast to be passing by that evening, but just in case there was a break in the cloudy sky I prepared this little map to help me locate the dim asteroid:

Asteroid's path through Triangulum

Unfortunately, the clouds did not cooperate with me and I was not able to look at the passing asteroid with my own eyes.
